HOLDEN MANZ RESERVE CABERNET FRANC 2014
The 2014 harvest exceeded expectations in terms of both volume and quality. Although the crop was harvested later than usual and over a short time, the cold, wet winter constituted ideal weather conditions during the flowering and berry set period and moderate weather conditions during this harvest season contributed to the size and quality of this year’s harvest. It was also a particularly healthy year from a disease perspective. One of the most challenging yet rewarding of recent harvests 2014 provided the opportunity to hand select the best quality grapes for special treatment in the cellar.
Bright ruby red
A subtly fragrant aromatic wine with spicy, white pepper notes and hints of cigar box and pencil shavings, with enchanting black fruit on the nose.
Predominantly red fruit with dark berry coming through, balanced, nice volume, elegant tannins with a rounded finish. The wood is very well integrated, pleasantly grippy tannins with a long velvety finish.
