VARIETIES
A typical Rhône blend made from 72% Shiraz, 21% Mourvèdre and 7% Viognier.
VITICULTURE
Three iconic cultivars that is beautifully balanced in taste and colour. Grapes harvested on Fransmanskraal Farm, Stellenbosch. Made from grapes that were sourced from 38-year old bush vines to produce concentrated flavours. Aged for 6 months in small oak barrels before undergoing further bottle aging.
WINE ANALYSIS
Alcohol: 13%; Residual Sugar: 2.8 g/l; PH: 3.65; Total Acid: 5.3 g/l
TASTING NOTE
A definitive spice coupled with smells of perfumed forest floor gives way to a mineral saltiness on the palate.
Further bottle aging will only improve this wine, but it may be just as easily enjoyed upon purchase.
Pair with: Red meat, charcuterie meat & cheese platters or special salted caramel deserts
